Technical Data

If you have any set up information you would like from us let us know by email on steve@drracingkartuk.com

Advised standard set up for a DR J90 and M92 in wet conditions.

  1. Set front wheel hubs with two 4mm and three 8mm spacers on the inside.
  2. Front stub axles should be set with two spacers on top and one on bottom.
  3. Set the caster camber adjusters so the top dot is facing forwards and bottom adjuster dot is facing backwards.
  4. Set your track rods on outer holes on stub axle and central holes on steering column (set with 4-6mm toe out (open at front)).
  5. Seat should be of standard rigidity Tillett T10 (for small drivers) and T11 (for tall drivers).
  6. Seating positions will vary depending on the size and weight of your driver.  Please phone us for information.  (this is very important).
  7. We advise running 1 extra seat stay, 2 on brake side and 1 on the engine side.
  8. Use standard rear axle hubs with overall rear track set at 133/5cm.
  9. You can fit a rear torsion bar if track conditions dictate.

Tips to solve under steer

  1. Widen front track by putting more spacers on the inside of the hub.
  2. Replace standard front hubs with bigger wet type
  3. Ajust caster camber settings to increase caster.  (Top dot pointing forward and bottom dot pointing back, (or use half caster adjuster - available from us).
  4. Change height of stub axle to wet position with two spacers at top of stub and one at the bottom (lifting the height of the chassis).

Tips to solve over steer

  1. Narrow front track by putting less spacers on the inside of the hub.
  2. Adjust caster camber settings to reduce caster.  Top dot pointing back and bottom dot pointing forwards (or use a half caster adjuster - available from us).
  3. Change height of stub axle position with 3 spacers at the bottom of the stub and one at the bottom.  (lowering the height of the chassis).
